VCS Admission Process

We’re glad you’re here and we are eager to help you get to know Valley Christian.  VCS enrolls students who want to serve Christ, who are a good match to the academics offered, and who will be engaged members of our school community. We are looking forward to learning about your family through the admissions process.

Step One:  Become an applicant

Click on the button below and fill out the application form.  Pay the non-refundable application fee. (Payable by check at the time of admission interview)

$75 per student or $150 per family (early registration discount)

$150 per student or $300 per family (after May 1st)

Interview

Step Two:  Schedule interview with Pastor David Burrell

Valley Christian School values strong partnerships with the parents of our students. The parent and student interview is one way for our leadership team to learn more about your student and family, ensuring a mission match for both VCS and you.  The parent and student interview are scheduled after the application and application fee have been received .

Document and Assess

Step Three:  Provide required documents and take placement assessment if necessary.

To understand a prospective student and family better, school leadership considers a variety of factors in the context of our rigorous academic program. 

The following items (if applicable) are required to complete your application:

  1. Birth Certificate and immunization record with entrance physical

  2. Transcripts from previous school including standardized test scores

  3. Pastoral recommendation

  4. IEP (Individualized Education Plan) or 504 Plan documentation

Admission Decision

Step 4: Receive Decision

Once you complete all checklist items in Steps 1, 2, and 3, the Admission Committee will review your application and you will receive one of the following decisions:

Acceptance:  Parents will receive notification when steps 1-3 have been completed in full and their student has been accepted.

Waitlist:  If the applicant is a good match with VCS, but there is no available space in the applicant's grade, then an email is sent to the parent(s) indicating that the applicant has been placed on the waitlist. When an opening becomes available in a grade level, the parent(s) will be contacted by phone or email, and placement will be offered.

Decline:  If Valley Christian is not able to offer an applicant admission, an email will be sent to the parent(s).  The decline decision is for one school year only, and applicants are welcome to re-apply in the future.

Enroll

Step 5: Enrollment

Parent(s) of accepted students will receive a link to respond to the offer of admission. Enrollment is confirmed when parent(s):

1. Sign the Enrollment Agreement

2. Pay the tuition deposit

3. Arrange a tuition payment plan
